Our History

Since Southern Armature Works, Inc. opened its doors in 1931, we have continually worked to provide excellent service to our customers. Located in Birmingham and servicing the surrounding areas, we have maintained the same space for all of our 78 years. Many of our service technicians have been with us for 20 years or more, all are ASE and MACS certified.

Our motto, ‘If you don’t take time to do it right, you’ll have to take time to do it over,’ speaks volumes about our approach to business. We truly believe in providing you with experienced staff, excellent workmanship and quality parts and services. We take pride in retaining our long-term customers and in fact, our relationships extend into second- and third-generation customers.
